CREDITS

I collaborated with Visual Soft on the web design, and they developed it.

I worked closely with the owner/creative director of the brand as their in-house art director/graphic designer.

But apart from the website, I worked independently on all projects presented here from start to finish.

The Brief:

This London-based award-winning retro clothing brand with an international presence is focusing on promoting a lifestyle rather that just fashion.

An exciting brand to work for, with such fun and colourful imagery. Vintage style, but not vintage values!

I worked on re-branding to an elegant, bolder new look. Let’s see how!

Project Overview:

I worked on the global visual identity of the international clothing brand Vivien of Holloway. This included conceptualization, final execution, and both digital and print formats. I created original and consistent visual assets for all campaigns, such as newsletters, websites, social media, and print materials. Additionally, I led brand direction, developed marketing strategies, and oversaw paid advertising campaigns on Facebook, Google Adwords, and Pinterest Ads. I also directed and photographed dozens of lookbooks.

Branding

The new branding conveys a more modern and elegant feel while maintaining their fun vintage style, with a more feminine in-line colours and fonts.

For the new logo, we swapped the emphasis of the words to highlight the designer’s personal touch. The colour pink was kept, but we chose a different shade that is more classy and in line with the brand image of classic Hollywood glamour.

The original vibe of the logo has been kept as requested, and the starbursts add an extra element of 1950s nostalgia. Moreover, the lady drawing was removed as it does not align with the brand message.

Mailing Bags Design

Your packaging is the first thing your customers will see! Gives them the luxury finish they deserve.

We wanted these mailers for a 1950s-style brand to look like an old postcard you could have received from a friend back in the days.

To design them, I focused on one of this slow fashion brand’s main selling points: all their clothes are made in London. This statement shapes the brand’s image of quality and emphasises the small business feel.

The idea was to create a sense of proximity and joy when a customer receives a parcel.

E-commerce Web Design

The new visual identity is focused on the brand values of quality, glamour and retro style. A new website was needed to reflect that too.

We implemented various redesigns to ensure their website was up-to-date and one step ahead of competitors.

This has been achieved through a seamless design that is responsive between desktop, mobile and tablets, giving customers a consistent website experience.

Labels Design / Merch

Your clothing labels need to stand out! They are the final touch on your garment.

The brand also has a physical shop in North London and needed some new print collaterals.

I created a fun and dynamic new design for the shop tags, using eye-catching photos that I took in the studio with their favourite models.

The design gives them a sleek look with a touch of fun and energy.

For the special denim range, I helped design a logo and imagery that has been used on jeans and merch, such as tote bags or pocket mirrors. I took my inspiration from American Western films from the 40s, imagery of the Far West and classic pin-up paintings.

I did some sketches of the creative direction, and we commissioned a UK artist for the final execution.

Marketing Content Creation

Outcome and Impact:

I helped to refresh the brand’s image, elevating it to a position of prominence in the competitive vintage clothing niche. The revamped branding efforts conveyed a sense of high-quality clothing, fueling the brand’s growth and reinforcing its stature as a major player in the industry.

The redesigned website contributed to an enhanced user experience, leading to increased online sales and improved customer engagement.
